Telephone service

The easy way to run your account

Our telephone service is the quickest and simplest way for you to pay money into your account using your debit card. And by registering for our full telephone service, you can:

  • withdraw money, which we will pay directly into your bank or building society account
  • check your balance
  • check recent transactions
  • tell us if your address or personal details have changed

How to register

Simply complete the "telephone service" section when you apply. We'll then send you a secure, temporary password to get you started, which you'll need to change to a password of your choice.

If you didn’t complete this section when you applied it’s not too late to register. Download and send your completed form to NS&I, Glasgow G58 1SB.

Your password identifies you as the account holder, so you should keep it secret to help ensure that no-one else can access your account by phone.

Will I be charged for using the telephone service?

No. There is no extra charge*.

*Your call will be taken by one of NS&Is award-winning UK customer service team. We're available every day from 7am till midnight. Calls from mobiles may not be free. Calls may be recored.
