Celebrating Premium Bonds holders The winner from Manchester, who is keeping his identity a closely guarded secret, said: "This is such wonderful news. I invested in Premium Bonds hoping to win small prizes often; however I never thought I would actually win the jackpot. I think I'll treat myself with some but the rest will boost my savings." In Manchester nearly 296,000 people own Premium Bonds worth over £292,000,000. There are over 14,500 unclaimed prizes in Manchester, worth over £870, 000. Ten Premium Bond holders in Manchester have previously won the jackpot. The winner from the London Borough of Bexley who has chosen to remain anonymous stated: “This is incredible news and I am still trying to take it all in. I only bought the bond last October as an alternative to investing in the stock market. I was hoping for a few small prizes from ERNIE but I never expected a visit from Agent Million.” In Greater London nearly 3 million people own Premium Bonds worth over £4.3 billion.
