Celebrating Premium Bonds holders

The winner from Glasgow – who has chosen to remain anonymous – said: “I've been investing in Bonds for a while.  I've had a great run of prizes over the years, my luck couldn't get any better!"

The winner from West Yorkshire has also chosen to keep his identity a closely-guarded secret.

In Glasgow over 280,000 people own Premium Bonds worth over £275 million.  There are nearly 4,000 unclaimed Premium Bond prizes worth £213,000.  This is the fifth time the Premium Bonds jackpot has been won both in Glasgow and in West Yorkshire.

In the whole of Yorkshire, more than 1.5 million people own Premium Bonds worth over £1.8 billion.  There are over 10,000 unclaimed prizes in West Yorkshire alone, worth over £600,000.

In July’s draw ERNIE paid out nearly 1.5 million prizes worth more than £113 million.
