The winter 2006/07 survey provides an incisive and continuous view of the UK savings market, tracking the development of savings trends over both the last quarter and the last year. The survey also covers the predicted savings outlook for the coming months. The winter 2006/07 Quarterly Savings Survey will reveal:
Barriers to saving The Quarterly Savings Survey will look in detail at the factors stopping people saving, such as the decline in take-home incomes, increasing demands on people’s finances. Dax Harkins, senior savings strategist at NS&I, says: “Christmas time always puts pressure on people’s finances, with the resulting debt hangover making it difficult to save.
