Press releaseNS&I SEEKS BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS MANAGER11 April 2005Growing distribution strategy means opportunity for partnership management National Savings and Investments (NS&I), the government-backed savings provider, is looking to recruit a new relationship manager to support its rapidly developing partnerships programme. The new role has been created in order to support NS&I’s strategy to work with selected organisations through which it aims to promote or retail its unique range of savings and investments. In 2004, NS&I appointed Jim Hilliard as head of distribution partnerships to develop mutually beneficial relationships with new partners. This is the first stage of NS&I’s developing business plan to promote and, ultimately, retail its range of 100% capital secure savings and investments to a wider audience. The successful candidate will work with Hilliard to develop and build these potential relationships and ensure the day-to-day operation of partnerships achieves strategic brand, commercial and cultural objectives. Jim Hilliard, NS&I head of distribution partnerships, said: “As a business we are developing and modernising all the time and seeking ways to improve the way in which customers can save and invest with us. “Our decision to recruit another relationship manager is a clear sign of our intention to work with other organisations to provide mutually beneficial results; both commercially and for our respective brands. We want to give customers wider access to NS&I’s unique range of products, by working with new carefully selected partners. This is an exciting initiative for NS&I and offers a lot of new opportunities for the right organisation”. The candidate is expected to have at least three years’ relationship management experience in a dynamic business environment where the role focus has been on creating, developing and managing partner relationships.
