Replace my lost documents

1. Recently sent documents

If you have recently sent documents to us (for example, as proof of your identity and address), please allow two weeks for these to be returned to you. If you still haven’t received them after two weeks, please contact us.

2. Lost track of savings or investments with NS&I

If you believe you have lost track of any savings or investments you hold with us, we can help you find out with our free of charge tracing service. This service is also available for tracking down funds of deceased relatives or clients.

3. I have recently applied to invest

If you have recently applied to save or invest with us, you should receive a welcome letter within fifteen days.

If you have applied to invest in a Guaranteed Equity Bond you should receive an initial acknowledgement within one week, then your Bond certificate will be sent shortly after the offer period closes.

4. Lost documents

If you have mislaid NS&I documents we can normally issue replacements for you. Simply write to us with the following information:     

  • Your name and address, including maiden name and/or previous address if appropriate
  • Product held eg Investment Account, Savings Certificate etc
  • Holder’s number or customer number
  • Account number/Bond numbers/Certificate numbers
  • Approximate amount of investment
  • Approximate date of purchase

To help us deal with your request more quickly, please write to us at the office which deals with your product. 

If you need replacement documents for more than one product, please include details of each product in your letter.
